Bio
Alan King is one of Chicago's original house DJs and an early member of the Chosen Few DJs crew, active since the late 1970s and cited as an influence by figures including Frankie Knuckles, Steve 'Silk' Hurley and Chip E. He played the South Side juice-bar and club circuit that helped birth house music and remains a central organizer of the Chosen Few Picnic, now the largest single-day music festival in Chicago
