Bio
Brass Queens are a Brooklyn brass band formed in March 2019, built around an all-female horn section and inspired by the New Orleans brass tradition. Co-founders Alex Harris and Stephanie King started the group to spotlight women in a male-dominated brass scene. They won the 2023 MTA Music Under New York Riders' Choice Award and have performed at the Met Gala and Blue Note Jazz Club
