Busta Rhymes, born Trevor Smith Jr. in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn, New York, is an American rapper who first gained notice in the group Leaders of the New School and a guest verse on A Tribe Called Quest's "Scenario." His solo debut album "The Coming" (1996) reached the top ten of the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum.
