Bio
The Cherry Poppin' Daddies are an American swing and ska band formed in Eugene, Oregon, in 1989 by singer-songwriter Steve Perry and bassist Dan Schmid. Known for a prominent horn section and Perry's acerbic lyricism, they broke through nationally with the multi-platinum 1997 compilation 'Zoot Suit Riot' during the swing revival. Called 'a Northwest institution,' they were inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame in 2009
