Counting Crows are an American rock band formed in Berkeley, California, in 1991, playing a blend of alternative and roots rock fronted by singer Adam Duritz. Their 1993 debut album, August and Everything After, was a multi-platinum success driven by the hit single "Mr. Jones," and the band earned Grammy nominations including Best New Artist in 1994.
