Bio

Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver is a bluegrass and gospel band formed in 1979 by mandolinist and singer Doyle Lawson (born April 20, 1944, near Kingsport, Tennessee). A veteran of the Country Gentlemen and J.D. Crowe's bands, Lawson built Quicksilver into one of bluegrass's most influential vocal groups, blending traditional gospel quartet singing into the bluegrass sound. With more than 40 albums, multiple Grammy nominations and seven IBMA Vocal Group of the Year awards, Lawson was inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame in 2012
