Bio

Funktapuss is a Cape Cod funk band that traces its roots to the late 1990s, when three high-school friends from Hyannis, Massachusetts began playing together. The name is drawn from artwork on jazz bassist Victor Wooten's 2005 album Soul Circus depicting Wooten playing bass with eight octopus-like arms adopted with Wooten's personal blessing. Powerhouse vocalist Latez Crawley joined in 2009, and the group is now regarded as one of the Cape's most trusted live acts
