Ice Cube (O'Shea Jackson) is an American rapper and actor born in Los Angeles, California, and a pioneering figure in West Coast gangsta rap. His work on N.W.A's 1989 album Straight Outta Compton helped popularize the genre, and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of N.W.A in 2016.
