Bio
Light Asylum is the darkwave, EBM and synth-pop project of self-taught multidisciplinary performance artist, vocalist and producer Shannon Funchess, founded in Brooklyn in 2007 (originally with musician Bruno Coviello). Heavily influenced by 1980s music, the project drew comparisons to Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails. It released the In Tension EP (2010/2011) and a self-titled full-length album via Mexican Summer in 2012
