MonoNeon, born Dywane Thomas Jr. in 1990 in Memphis, Tennessee, is an American bassist and experimental musician known for his colorful style and left-handed, upside-down playing. Grounded in Southern soul, funk, and blues, he built a following through YouTube and was among the last musicians to work with Prince before the artist's death in 2016. He won a Grammy for his contribution to Nas's 2020 album King's Disease.
