The Sex Pistols are an English punk rock band formed in London in 1975, with an original lineup of Johnny Rotten, Steve Jones, Paul Cook, and Glen Matlock, who was later replaced by Sid Vicious. Although their initial run lasted only about two and a half years, they are widely credited with igniting the punk movement in the United Kingdom and released the influential 1977 album Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols.
