Bio
The Boneshakers are an American blues, funk and rock band led by guitarist Randy Jacobs (of Was (Not Was)), who were given their name by Bonnie Raitt while working on her 'Longing In Our Hearts' album. Marrying the sounds of Detroit, Memphis and Muscle Shoals, they signed to Pointblank/Virgin in 1996 and have performed with artists including Bonnie Raitt, B.B. King and Aretha Franklin; recent lineups feature vocalist Jenny Langer. Note: this is a blues/funk act, not an Irish/Celtic band, and shares its name with other groups
