Tycho is the project of American musician and visual artist Scott Hansen, who is based in San Francisco and originally from Sacramento, California. It began as Hansen's solo ambient and downtempo electronic work and later grew into a live band centered on synthesizers and guitar. Tycho has released much of its catalog on the Ghostly International label.
