Bio

Zlatomir Fung is an American cellist who became the first American in four decades, and the youngest musician ever, to win First Prize in the Cello Division of the International Tchaikovsky Competition (2019). Of Bulgarian and Chinese heritage and raised in Westborough, Massachusetts, he studied at The Juilliard School, where he joined the cello faculty in 2024. He performs internationally with major orchestras and champions contemporary repertoire alongside the classical canon
