The experience
What's special
The 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival is a comic-centered, artist-run stand-up comedy festival held across venues in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Rather than a single stage, it spreads dozens of separately-ticketed shows over about three days and six venues, with recent editions listing more than 30 shows and 80 comedians and ticket prices roughly in the $15 to $60 range. Now more than a decade old, it has grown from a tiny local event into what local press and organizers describe as one of the largest comedy festivals in the country, mixing national headliner sets with offbeat one-off and podcast tapings
Last time around (2025)
The most recent edition ran October 23-25, 2025 across the Twin Cities, again packing dozens of separately-ticketed shows into a single weekend. Preview coverage of the 2025 program leaned into its wackier one-offs, from onstage blind dates to a 'Truth or Dairy' bit and the return of a popular live podcast, while local press writing after the weekend described the event as one of the richest, most diverse and most rewarding comedy festivals in the country
