The Beale Street Music Festival kicks off Memphis in May each spring, staging a diverse, multi-genre lineup across several stages in Tom Lee Park where Beale Street meets the Mississippi River, in a city known as the Home of the Blues
What people love
Attendees rave about the music and the riverside setting, with a breeze off the Mississippi and good-natured crowds described as a safe, friendly scene, and it has long been considered strong value for the number of headliners. Common frustrations are a limited number of food vendors, very loud sound and chaotic flow, and in its later years attendees felt lineups and prices had slipped
