What happened to GoldenSky Festival?
Did not take place in 2025 or 2026. Organizers announced in June 2026 that the festival will return to Discovery Park the weekend of October 15, 2027, with additional editions planned for 2028 and 2029.

Most people drive to GoldenSky Festival. The nearest major airport is SMF, and from there it is a straightforward drive to the venue. Check current road and traffic conditions before you set off, and see parking below.

Sacramento Valley Station (401 I Street, downtown) is a major Amtrak hub, not an SMF-airport-connected leg this is an alternative arrival mode for attendees traveling by rail rather than flying into SMF. SMF designates three separate Ride App Pickup Zones for Uber/Lyft plus a regulated taxi stand, per the airport's official ground-transportation page. At the festival end, GoldenSky runs its own dedicated rideshare pickup/dropoff zones Jibboom Street (south side, main zone) and the Garden Highway zone on West El Camino Ave (north side) separate from the SMF-side pickup process
