Age, licensing and hygiene

Age and ID

Attendees must be 18 or older to get tattooed, must sign a release form, and must present a valid ID. All tattoo artists must verify age and have a signed release form before starting any tattoo procedure

Consent and aftercare

The official FAQ recommends: remove the bandage after 2 to 5 hours, always wash hands before touching the new tattoo, wash the tattoo 2 to 3 times daily with antibacterial soap, rinse and pat dry with a clean towel, allow 20 to 30 minutes to air dry before applying a thin layer of unscented lotion, clean and moisturize 3 to 5 times daily for 2 weeks, avoid picking at scabs, wear clean loose clothing, avoid soaking in water, pools or hot tubs, keep out of the sun, and apply SPF 30-50 sunscreen during prolonged sun exposure

Rules on the floor

No fighting or obnoxious behavior is permitted; violators may be arrested and removed from the premises without refund. Hell City reserves the right to deny entrance or expel any attendee at its discretion, without refund

Beyond tattooing, the weekend includes tattoo competitions, live burlesque, live painting, an Art Fusion Experiment, a tattoo Battle Booth, and a Fine Art Gallery
