The experience
What's special
MeWe Fairs has been running metaphysical weekends in the Pacific Northwest since 2014, when its founder Laureli Shimayo held the first ones for six practitioners in a Portland living room. It now tours nine or more cities in Oregon and Washington, and the Eugene stop lands in the Churchill High School gym on 26 and 27 September 2026 with 50 booths planned and 20 to 25 talks. The format is unusually generous for this branch: free entry if you register, free parking, all the talks included, and a free intuitive panel at 10 a.m. each day at which the organizer says practitioners offer readings and healings to people in the audience. The booth floor mixes intuitive readers and energy healers with vendors in crystals, apothecary supplies, jewellery, candles and wildcrafted tea. Eugene takes two MeWe fairs a year; the February one is at a different venue
What it costs
Two layers, and this fair is the friendly version of both. Layer one, the door, is free and published as free: register in advance on Humanitix for a free weekend pass covering both days, or pay $5 for the whole weekend at the door if you did not, with cash, card, PayPal and Venmo all accepted. Children 13 and under are always free, and the last hour of each day is free to everyone regardless. All 20 to 25 talks and both daily intuitive panels are included in that, so a visitor can spend a full weekend here for nothing. Layer two is per service and is entirely unpublished, but the organizer describes it plainly to its own practitioners: everyone at the fair is selling services or products, everyone chooses their own prices, and everyone keeps all the funds they are paid. So every reading, every healing session and every crystal is a separate transaction with an individual practitioner at that practitioner's own rate, and no rate is published anywhere. The one genuine exception is the daily intuitive panel, where the organizer says practitioners offer free readings and healings for audience members; that is the only free reading route published for this fair. A third layer sits between them: two to four or more special events per fair carry a separate fee, sold separately on the ticket platform. For this Eugene weekend one special event is published as free and two are still TBD with no price. Parking is free, which removes the layer most fairs in this branch carry
Getting in
What a reading costs
Free or $5 entry includes the whole floor, all 20 to 25 talks, both daily intuitive panels including the free readings and healings offered there, and the Sunday speed dating session. It includes nothing bought at a booth No reading or healing rate is published by the organizer or any practitioner, and there is no platform booking fee on the free attendee pass. Parking is free. The two unnamed special events should be assumed to carry a fee until the organizer publishes them
What is on offer

A medium describes what they say are messages from people who have died.
Numbers drawn from your name and birth date are used as the basis of the reading.
Similar to tarot but using an oracle deck, whose cards and meanings vary by deck.
The reader looks at the lines and shape of your hands and talks through what they see.
A one to one sitting in which the reader offers impressions about your life and circumstances.
Marked stones or tiles are cast and read as a spread.
A reader interprets a spread of tarot cards with you, usually one to one at a booth or table.
Healing and bodywork
A practitioner works around the body without conventional medical treatment.
A practitioner places their hands on or above you while you rest, clothed, usually for 15 to 30 minutes.

Readers and practitioners
On the stages
Each is billed to give the talk or demonstration named under their practice.
Walk up. Practitioners take readings and healing sessions at their own booths through the fair hours, and the organizer publishes no booking system, no session length and no queue rule. The organizer's guidance to its own practitioners says every one of them sets their own prices and keeps all the funds they are paid, so each booth is an independent transaction
