How do I get to National Apple Harvest Festival?
Taxi & rideshare 1
Uber and Lyft operate around Harrisburg and Gettysburg, but the ~40 mi run from MDT to rural Biglerville is a long, pricey trip and rural driver supply can be patchy, confirm availability, especially for a return. Once based in Gettysburg, short rideshares out to the fairgrounds (~9 mi) are more reliable. Note the festival's own included parking-shuttle handles the last mile from the parking fields to the gates (see parking)

Harrisburg International (MDT) is the nearest airport, ~40 mi northeast of the South Mountain Fairgrounds. The venue is rural Adams County apple country with no transit or scheduled service reaching Biglerville, so a rental car is the practical way in for a fly-in attendee. Baltimore/Washington (BWI, ~65 mi) and Washington Dulles (IAD) are larger-service alternates for cheaper fares, still requiring a drive. Gettysburg (~9 mi from the fairgrounds) is the usual hotel base

On site parking available. Per the festival FAQ, fire police direct arriving cars to outlying parking fields, and a shuttle-bus service runs from those fields to the festival grounds, all included in admission. Handicap parking is on the festival grounds (until full) and in the outlying fields, with handicap-accessible vans stopping at marked pickup points. Roadways and walkways are a mix of grass, stone/gravel, and blacktop, so wear sturdy shoes and note the terrain if you have mobility needs (no scooter/wheelchair rentals on site)
