Disability access

The 2026 festival runs entirely at Rosecliff, 548 Bellevue Ave, and the Preservation Society of Newport County publishes a detailed accessibility page for that house, so the detail below is the venue museum policy rather than a festival specific statement.

Read the full notes

Rosecliff is rated partially accessible. It has ramps, a lift to the first floor measuring 60 inches by 41 inches, and a staff operated elevator 34 inches wide and 42 inches deep between the first and second floors. Guests who cannot use stairs must enter and exit by the front door, and there are four stairs from the front entry to the first floor.

Parking is free onsite in a lot next to the main house, with two designated handicapped stalls 345 feet from the main entrance. The parking lot and driveway are paved asphalt, outdoor paths vary in width with the narrowest at 53 inches, and some rose garden pathways are loose gravel.

The Society warns that all its properties involve moving long distances over non-paved terrain and that seating is limited both indoors and outdoors. A handicapped restroom is on the first floor; the other restrooms are in the basement, which the elevator does not reach.

The first floor tour route is marble and wood with wide pathways, the second floor is carpet with some tight doorways where mobility device users may be routed a different way. Service dogs are welcome and the Society does not have wheelchairs available on site.

Nothing is published about access to the festival Tasting Tent on Rosecliff front lawn, about accessible viewing, or about a companion or carer ticket. The festival is single site so no shuttle is described. Festival questions go to [email protected], general access questions to (401) 847-1000 ext. 158 or [email protected]

ASL

American Sign Language interpretation is available for guided tours and programs on request with at least three weeks notice, subject to interpreter availability. Requests go to [email protected] or (401) 847-2251, office hours Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

This is the Preservation Society of Newport County museum policy and is not stated specifically for the Wine and Food Festival
