The experience
What's special
The Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival is New York's flagship food-and-drink festival, held each October as a benefit for Food Bank for New York City and the No Kid Hungry campaign. Across four days it packs in 50-plus events, from the marquee walk-around Grand Tastings to celebrity-chef demos, themed dinners, late-night parties and seminars, hosted by Food Network and Cooking Channel talent at venues around the city. The mix of star chefs, generous tastings and a charitable mission is central to its appeal
What people love
Attendees rave about the food and drink itself, describing the small bites, wines and spirits as wonderful and calling out how engaged the participating chefs are about sharing their dishes. Many frame it as worth the price and a great outing, especially the Grand Tasting, and family-friendly events with celebrity chefs draw particular praise. The most common complaint is crowding and long lines at the busier sessions
Last time around (2025)
The walk-around Grand Tasting was singled out as the format most worth the ticket

Getting there
Nearest airport LGA.
How do I get to New York City Wine & Food Festival?
By car
Most people drive to New York City Wine & Food Festival. The nearest major airport is LGA, and from there it is a straightforward drive to the venue. Check current road and traffic conditions before you set off, and see parking below.
By train
No direct passenger rail to the venue was found. Drive, fly in, or use a shuttle instead.
By bus & public transit
LGA has no direct rail of its own; take the free Q70 LGA Link bus from Terminal B/C to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Ave, then the E or F train toward Manhattan and connect to a downtown train for the Fulton St hub (2/3/4/5/A/C/J/Z), a few minutes' walk from The Seaport. JFK (AirTrain to the E train or LIRR) and Newark (EWR, AirTrain to NJ Transit) are the other two NYC-area airports and can be easier depending on your route
Book / info →Taxi & rideshare
LGA taxis run on the standard NYC meter (no flat rate) since LGA is within the primary taxi zone; Uber and Lyft pick up from designated terminal zones. Lower Manhattan is a direct if traffic-prone trip. From JFK a flat metered fare to Manhattan applies; from Newark expect airport/toll surcharges
Book / info →Taxis and rideshare such as Uber and Lyft can be limited near the venue, especially late at night or in rural areas. Agree a pickup point and time in advance and keep a backup plan.
🅿 Parking
Cost Roughly $35-70 for a day in a nearby Lower Manhattan garage, depending on the garage and how far ahead you book.
🚙 Car hire
Compare car hire at LGA
A rental car is not recommended for this festival: The Seaport is in Lower Manhattan with excellent subway access and very expensive, scarce parking. A car only makes sense if you are extending the trip beyond the city

Camping & Accommodation
Where can I stay near New York City Wine & Food Festival?
No on site camping. Here is where to stay nearby.

320 Pearl St, Lower Manhattan (Financial District / Seaport)
≈ $230-330 / night approx, book direct with the hotel
Book direct →Mid-range hotels 1
55 Church St, Lower Manhattan, near the World Trade Center

Book direct →Luxe hotels 1
123 Nassau St, Lower Manhattan (near City Hall)
≈ $500-800 / night approx, book direct with the hotel
Book direct →Airbnb & private camping
New York City short-term-rental supply is heavily regulated (Local Law 18 sharply limited legal listings), so options in Lower Manhattan are limited and pricey; for the mid-October festival a hotel is usually the more reliable choice, and any Airbnb search should confirm the listing is a legal registered stay
Search Airbnb →The Seaport is in the middle of Manhattan, so there are no Hipcamp options anywhere near the venue; private-land camping only appears well outside the city in the Hudson Valley, New Jersey, or Long Island irrelevant as a lodging alternative for this urban festival

What the organiser or venue publishes about getting around, and what they do not.
The New York City Wine & Food Festival answers access in its FAQ rather than on an accessibility page. It states that all event venues are ADA accessible unless otherwise noted on the individual event pages, so the per event pages are the place to check for exceptions.
This is a multi venue festival across New York City, and the FAQ does not describe terrain, accessible parking, accessible toilets, companion or carer tickets or a quiet or sensory space at any individual venue
The festival takes advance requests for sign language interpreters. Its FAQ says that to request materials in accessible format, sign language interpreters, and/or any disability accommodation you should contact the festival at least five days in advance to initiate your request.
No interpreted event schedule is published
Confirm your specific needs with the organiser's access team before you travel.
