Roots Picnic is the flagship music festival curated and hosted by The Roots, held each spring in Philadelphia. Running since 2008, it is a genre-spanning celebration of hip-hop, R&B, soul and live-band culture, known for one-of-a-kind collaborations, surprise guests and The Roots backing artists on stage. In 2026 it moved to the expansive Belmont Plateau in West Philadelphia and drew record crowds behind headliners Jay-Z and The Roots

By train
No direct passenger rail to the venue was found. Drive, fly in, or use a shuttle instead.
By bus & public transit
From PHL, SEPTA's Airport Line reaches Center City stations (30th Street/Suburban) in ~20-25 min; SEPTA Bus Route 38 is the route that actually serves Belmont Plateau/Fairmount Park itself, and SEPTA runs additional service during/after the event. This is a two-leg journey (rail into the city, then bus out to the plateau), not a single direct line from the airport
