The experience
What's special
South Texas Iron & Ink is a tattoo convention built around three worlds: tattoo culture, motorcycle craftsmanship and live music. Alongside tattooing across the weekend, a custom bike show lets owners compete for titles and a stage runs bands from Friday to Sunday, with a vendor marketplace of art, apparel and accessories. It runs at the Seguin Events Complex, an indoor and outdoor venue with easy access from San Antonio, Austin, New Braunfels and San Marcos. Admission runs $15 to $40 depending on the days chosen
What happens on the floor
The core format: artists take a booth for the weekend and work on the open floor, with the public walking through.
Pieces go on in the open, start to finish. You can watch, and talk to artists between clients.
Bands or DJs playing alongside the tattoo floor.
Machines, inks, aftercare, art and clothing. Aimed at artists, but open to anyone through the door.
Getting tattooed here
Admission gets you through the door, not into a chair. Tattoo work is arranged with the artist, not with the show.
Artists can be booked ahead through their own channels; the site invites visitors to reserve with featured artists such as Brittany Elliot
Who is tattooing
The Featured Artists page listed roughly 28 individual attending artists and about 19 shops for the 2027 edition, with a 'More Artists & Shops Coming Soon' section. Shops are recorded under studios
1 artists are listed for this edition, by name only, which is all the organiser publishes.
