The experience

What's special

The Stockyards Championship Rodeo runs every week of the year inside the historic Cowtown Coliseum, built in 1907 and 1908 in the Fort Worth Stockyards, a building the organiser calls home to the world's first indoor rodeo. A single reserved seat buys entry to that night's performance; there is no separate grounds-only ticket, because the rodeo and the admission are the same product. The standard weekly pattern runs rodeo performances Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 pm, with a Sunday matinee at 1:30 pm, though named visiting events occasionally take over a weekend slot. Each roughly two-hour performance runs an open (unsanctioned) card of bull riding, tie-down roping, bareback riding, saddle bronc, ranch saddle bronc, breakaway roping, team roping and ladies barrel racing, run in two bull-riding sections bookending the other events, with a free Calf and Mutton Scramble for children 4 to 12
