How do I get to Targhee Fest?
By car
Most people drive to Targhee Fest. The nearest major airport is JAC, and from there it is a straightforward drive to the venue. Check current road and traffic conditions before you set off, and see parking below.
By train
No direct passenger rail to the venue was found. Drive, fly in, or use a shuttle instead.
By bus & public transit
the segment relevant toward Alta, WY, but its limited schedule makes it impractical for festival travel days; the resort's own shuttle or a rental car are the realistic options

Grand Targhee runs its own shared shuttle from Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) to the resort, reservations required. Outbound leaves JAC ~2:00pm, arrives resort ~4:00pm; return departs resort ~8:30am, arrives JAC ~10:30am. Private shuttle (any time) also bookable direct with the resort's Reservations Team, and also covers Idaho Falls (IDA) and Driggs (KDIJ) airports as alternates

Teton Mountain Taxi and other Jackson-based taxi/shuttle operators specifically advertise JAC-to-Grand-Targhee runs (~1.5 hr drive over Teton Pass, weather-dependent, or via Idaho Falls in winter conditions)
Book / info →Taxis and rideshare such as Uber and Lyft can be limited near the venue, especially late at night or in rural areas. Agree a pickup point and time in advance and keep a backup plan.

Cost Bundled into camping-pass pricing, not a separate parking fee: walk-in tent (no vehicle) $249/4 nights; undesignated meadow spot with vehicle access $300/4 nights; designated RV/trailer spots (20x30, 20x40, 20x65) sold via the same portal and sold out by January 2026. A dedicated 3-Day Premium Festival Parking lot (Stage Lot 1) is shown on the resort's official festival camping/parking map for non-camping day/general parking; meadow terrain is uneven with dirt access roads and campers are responsible for arranging their own vehicle recovery if stuck

Camping fest with no meaningful public transit within range (START's Driggs/Teton Valley connector is AM/PM-commuter-only) and a 1.5 hr mountain-pass drive from the airport car hire is the primary option for fly-in attendees who don't book the resort's own shuttle
