Age, licensing and hygiene
The only ID rule the organizer states is that ticket holders must show valid identification or a printed purchase receipt on arrival. No minimum age to attend and no minimum age to be tattooed are published. In Texas, tattooing a minor is tightly restricted and body piercing of a minor generally requires parental consent, so under-18 visitors should expect ID and consent checks from the individual artist
The organizer publishes no licensing, sterilization, consent or aftercare requirement on the pages read on 5 September 2026. This is an absence of organizer statements, not of rules: Texas regulates tattoo and body-piercing studios and artists through the Texas Department of State Health Services, which binds the artists working this floor whether or not the organizer mentions it
The organiser publishes nothing on Any organizer statement on artist licensing or bloodborne-pathogen certification, Any sterilization, single-use or workstation standard, Any organizer consent form or aftercare sheet, Any first aid, medical or security arrangement and Any minimum age to attend or to be tattooed. Ask the artist you are booking with, and expect a licensed booth to answer without hesitating.

What's special
Tattoo Mania Dallas is a curated, hand-selected artist gathering rather than a large anonymous expo. The 2026 roster lists 46 named artists against an advertised 50, and the booking model is clear: contact a specific artist ahead of time to guarantee a slot, or ask about same-day walk-up availability once you are there. A ticket is required either way, sold online at $20 for Friday, $25 for Saturday, $25 for Sunday, or $55 for the full weekend. The setting is Four Corners Brewing Co. in the Cedars district just south of downtown Dallas, so a brewery taproom and on-site food vendors sit alongside the tattoo and vendor floor, and parking is free. The organizer suggests making a weekend of it, since the show lands during the State Fair of Texas
What happens on the floor
The core format: artists take a booth for the weekend and work on the open floor, with the public walking through.
Pieces go on in the open, start to finish. You can watch, and talk to artists between clients.
Painting, flash and print work hung or sold, judged separately from tattoos at some shows.
Piercers work alongside the tattoo booths. The same questions apply: age, ID, sterilisation and aftercare.
Getting tattooed here
Admission gets you through the door, not into a chair. Tattoo work is arranged with the artist, not with the show.
To get tattooed by a specific artist, contact that artist directly to book in advance; the organizer says this is the way to guarantee a specific artist. The 2026 roster is complete and all artists are hand-selected
Same-day walk-up tattoos are available with any artist who has availability. An appointment is only needed to guarantee a particular artist. A ticket is still required for entry either way
Who is tattooing
The artists page lists 46 individual artist names for 2026, against an advertised 50. The vendor row adds 7 named vendors plus 'MORE TBA'. The organizer states the 2026 roster is complete
46 artists are listed for this edition, by name only, which is all the organiser publishes.

What it costs
Admission is the only price the show sets. Entry does not include a tattoo. The convention is a gathering of artists working by appointment or walk-up who also sell original art, prints and merchandise. Each artist sets their own tattoo price; no organizer minimum, hourly range or guidance figure is published. Walk-up availability and price are set by the individual artist. Budget for it as an unknown.
All four admission prices are online shop products and are marked all sales final. No tattoo, contest or booth fees are published as visitor prices
On-site food vendors sell food; no prices published
The market and the food
The market floor carries vendors and makers.
Food on site: on-site food vendors and brewery taproom and bar.
The FAQ says food vendors will have plenty of options, and the venue is a brewery with a taproom. Big Tony's BBQ is named on the vendor row. Dietary options are not stated

What the organiser or venue publishes about getting around, and what they do not.
