The experience

What's special

The Taylor Sweet Corn Festival is a small-town Labor Day harvest celebration in Taylor, Arizona, honoring the local farmers' primary crop. The day mixes fresh local sweet corn with a parade, arts-and-crafts vendors, food stalls, live music from local bands, a cornhole tournament and a children's horseless rodeo

Last time around

Recent editions have run as a compact, family-oriented community day, with local press describing the small-town charm of the parade, the crafts and the fresh local corn as a long-standing area tradition over Labor Day weekend

Getting there

How do I get to Taylor Sweet Corn Festival?

Taxi & rideshare 1
Uber / Lyft / local White Mountains taxi operatorsPHX-to-Taylor ~3.5 hrs by road; FLG-to-Taylor ~2 hrs; local Show Low-area hops a few minutes

Taylor sits in Arizona's rural White Mountains. Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) is the nearest major airport, about 170 miles / 3.5 hours' drive to the southwest; Flagstaff Pulliam (FLG) is closer at roughly 125 miles / 2 hours; and Show Low Regional (SOW) is only about 17 miles away but carries very limited scheduled commercial service. Rideshare from PHX or FLG is impractical over those distances, and Uber/Lyft coverage inside the Show Low/Snowflake/Taylor area itself is thin and can involve long waits. For almost all fly-in visitors a rental car from PHX or FLG is the realistic way in; rideshare is only dependable for short hops once you are already in the Show Low area

Airbnb

Short-term rental supply across Show Low, Snowflake and Taylor is modest (this is a small rural market), but cabins and homes are available and the festival is a single low-key day rather than a demand spike, so festival-weekend surge pricing is unlikely to be significant. this is a general seasonal-pattern read of a small market, not a cited figure
