Uber and Lyft operate within the town of Telluride/Mountain Village but are NOT authorized to pick up directly at the Telluride Regional Airport terminal fly-in attendees need a shuttle or rental car for the airport leg itself, then can use rideshare once in town

On site parking available. Cost Main festival parking is the Mountain Village parking garage/lot, free overnight for the full festival weekend no prepay platform involved. Reached from Telluride town via the free ~13-minute gondola (runs to ~2am during the festival) or the free shuttle-bus system (7am, 3am Wed, Sun, 7am, 2pm the following Monday). Separately, the town core of Telluride itself is barricaded to non-permitted vehicles from the Wednesday before through Sunday of the festival only barricade-pass holders, local San Miguel County plates, or ADA placard holders may drive/park on town streets during that window. Overnight sleeping in a vehicle in any parking lot or on the street is explicitly prohibited festival-wide.

Camping festival in a remote mountain town served only by two small regional airports (TEX 5mi away but tiny/expensive; MTJ ~65mi/1h20+ away) with no rail and no intercity bus a rental car is the practical fallback for anyone who misses a shuttle window, especially on the Montrose leg, and is close to essential for attendees driving in from Denver/Phoenix/Albuquerque or combining the festival with a Colorado road trip

A separate vehicle pass (on top of a camping pass for every occupant) is required at every on-site campground: Town Park/Warner Field cap vehicles at 24ft bumper-to-bumper, Mary E Ilium at 22ft, and the off-site vehicle-only Upper Lawson at 20ft. vehicle passes are sold separately and in limited numbers
Vans camp under the same 'car'/vehicle-pass system no separate van category exists in official materials so they're subject to the same per-campground length caps (20, 24ft) and the same vehicle-pass-plus-camping-pass requirement as any other car
No campground is marketed as '4WD/off-road-only' or primitive in the strict sense, but Mary E Ilium (7.7 miles out, vehicles under 22ft) is the closest analog: a forested, more rustic setting served by off-grid ('Gridless Operations') showers and porta-potties rather than the permanent plumbing at Town Park. It's reached by the free shuttle or, per the festival's own page, an 'adventurous' bike/hike route on the Galloping Goose Trail
