Centennial Hall
Centennial Hall is Juneau's city-owned convention hall at 101 Egan Drive, next to the Juneau Arts and Culture Center. It is the main stage of the Alaska Folk Festival, which began in 1975 and moved here after outgrowing the Alaska State Museum, though festival programming also spills into the JACC, the Armory, hotels and other downtown venues. The three ballrooms together hold 1,073 theatre-style, and a 2023 to 2024 renovation gave them a new sound system and new heating and ventilation.

Food, water and what you can bring
The City use agreement addresses insurance when alcohol is served and requires authorized participating caterers for food/beverage service. It does not establish a blanket venue alcohol license for every event.
Sound and sensory
The hall's three ballrooms come with a basic sound system, standard lights and projection equipment, and the 2023 to 2024 renovation of the ballrooms installed a new sound system.

A little history
The Alaska Folk Festival began in 1975 and outgrew its first home at the Alaska State Museum; Centennial Hall now holds its main stage, and in 2024 the festival returned to its regular venue for the first time since 2019.
The city keeps an ongoing improvement plan for the hall. The 2023 to 2024 phase renovated the existing ballrooms and installed new sound and heating and ventilation systems.
