Eureka Theater
The Eureka Theater is a 1939 Art Deco movie palace at 612 F Street in downtown Eureka, run by the nonprofit Eureka Concert and Film Center. The auditorium is 80 by 100 feet under a 35 foot ceiling, with modern sound and lighting and two Wallace & Hinz bars in the lobby. At Redwood Coast Music Festival the seats stay in and a dance floor opens in front of the stage.

A little history
Built in 1939 as Humboldt County's ultra-modern neon movie theater, designed by William B. David, the Eureka Theater stopped regular films in 1996 when multiplexes arrived. Volunteer committees and a board formed to save it, it is on the National Register of Historic Places, and the Eureka Concert and Film Center, a private nonprofit, runs it today and is raising money to replace the auditorium roof.
The theater keeps its theater seating with a dance floor in front of the stage. In 2026 it hosts Friday Blues Night on October 2 and Blues & Roots Night on October 3, each 4:30pm to 10:30pm, and free festival shuttles link the official hotels with every venue.
