Fox Music House
Fox Music House is a family music company at 4248 Dorchester Road in North Charleston, founded by the Fox family in 1928 and now serving a fourth generation of families. Charleston Jazz uses it for free community events, and the 2026 Charleston Jazz Festival closed here on April 21 with a free panel and a performance by the Herlin Riley Quartet. The store itself keeps shop hours, Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 5pm.

A little history
Fox Music House was founded in 1928 by Otto Z. Fox and Sarah M. Fox and has been part of Charleston's musical community ever since. As the company nears 100 years old it is serving a fourth generation of families.
Charleston Jazz brings free community events here. The 2026 Charleston Jazz Festival, which ran April 13 to 21, ended with America's Story at 250, a free panel on Tuesday, April 21 at 6pm that closed with a performance by the Herlin Riley Quartet, and earlier free jazz workshops at the store featured Sean Jones in October 2022 and Wycliffe Gordon in February 2023.
