Getting there and parking
The museum is at 636 F Street in Eureka, in the historic Carnegie library building, directly next door to the Eureka Theater, another Redwood Coast Music Festival venue. Accessible parking is on F Street in front of the museum with a valid accessibility parking permit, and there is a passenger load and unload zone at the loading dock.
During the Redwood Coast Music Festival complimentary shuttles run from the official hotels to all the festival venues, so you need not drive between stages.
Museum hours are Wednesday to Sunday, 12pm to 5pm, closed on New Year's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for seniors 65 and over, military veterans and students with ID, free for children 17 and under, and free for all on the first Saturday of each month.

A little history
The Carnegie Free Library was built in 1902 in Classical Revival style after a $20,000 Carnegie grant in 1901, in red brick and Mad River granite with two-storey solid redwood columns. It joined the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, was slated for demolition in the late 1990s, and was saved by the Humboldt Arts Council's restoration project begun in 1996. It opened as the Morris Graves Museum of Art on January 1, 2000, named for the painter who lived in Humboldt County from 1964 until his death in 2001.
The building now holds seven galleries, the Humboldt Artists Gallery, a museum store, classrooms, a courtyard sculpture garden and the performance rotunda. The Redwood Coast Music Festival, October 1 to 4 in 2026, uses it as the Morris Graves Stage alongside the Eureka Theater next door, the Adorni Waterfront Stage, the Sequoia Center and the Eagle House.
