Is it for you

Choose it if

  • you can ride the free Eugene shuttle or carpool in

Think twice if

  • you were counting on camping right on the Fair property
  • you need reliable on site parking without a handicap placard

Getting there and parking

The Fair is a wooded, three day event in Veneta, Oregon, about 15 miles west of Eugene. Enter from OR-126 at Maple Gate; entry from Suttle Road is not allowed, and traffic on OR-126 leads into parking.

The Fair runs free bus shuttles between Eugene and the grounds throughout the three day weekend, and carpooling with ticketed friends is another option, since tickets are not sold on site.

Parking costs $15 per vehicle per day in advance, or $20 at the gate, cash only. Up front parking is available for vehicles with a state issued handicap placard, and parking can be paid when you buy your ticket or when you arrive.

Accessibility

4A, the Alter-Abled Access Advocacy crew, works to make the Fair accessible, with a booth near the Main Gate and a shaded resting and clothes changing spot in Community Village, where volunteers can help with a wheelchair, cane or crutches. Handicapped parking requires a DMV placard on the vehicle.

On site parking is extremely limited, so the free bus service to and from Eugene is the recommended way in. Only ADA defined service animals, dogs trained to perform a task for someone with a disability, are welcome; emotional support, therapy, comfort or companion animals are not allowed on site.

Confirm your specific needs with the venue before you travel (oregoncountryfair.org).

Camping

The Fair property itself does not have camping for the public. Independent neighbors near the site run their own campsites and parking only lots during the Fair, but the Fair does not own, operate, manage or staff them.

Food, water and what you can bring

There are more than 85 food booths and strolling vendors at the Fair, and more than 700 artisans sell handmade or gathered crafts.

A refillable, non-glass water bottle is allowed in, along with a still camera, though you need permission before photographing minors or people who are not fully clothed. Everyone should expect a security search on entry, and a bag check is available for those who want to free up their hands.
