Marlboro, Vermont·540-seat indoor concert hall on a rural campus

Persons Auditorium

Persons Auditorium is a 540 seat concert hall on the Marlboro campus in southern Vermont, where Marlboro Music has brought musicians together every summer since 1951. The campus sits on a winding country road off Vermont Route 9 between Brattleboro and Wilmington, so a car is the practical way in, and most concerts run an hour and a half to two hours with a 15 minute intermission. Every seat is indoors with an intimate view of the stage, except for open air canopy seating offered only at the season's final concert.

A little history

Marlboro Music has brought musicians to the rural town of Marlboro, Vermont, population 978, every summer since 1951, with weekend concerts held mid-July to mid-August after weeks of in-depth rehearsal.

Summer concerts and open rehearsals take place in Persons Auditorium, a 540 seat venue where all performances happen indoors with an intimate connection to the music. The only exception is canopy seating at the season's final concert, open air under an awning with a partial view of the stage; guests can enjoy the outdoors around the auditorium before the show and during intermission.
