A little history
The Port of Hueneme was created in 1937 as an independent special district and political subdivision of California, owned and operated by the Oxnard Harbor District. It is the only commercial deep water port between Los Angeles and San Francisco and consistently ranks among the top 10 U.S. ports for autos and fresh produce.
