Revolution Hall
Revolution Hall is an indoor concert hall in the auditorium of the former Washington High School at 1300 SE Stark Street in Portland, close to downtown and easy to reach on TriMet. A small guest lot off 14th Ave has spaces at $12 after 6pm, and drivers with an ADA placard park free in the lot attached to the building. Only very small handbags are allowed in, so travel light.

If you drive, the guest parking lot off 14th Ave has spaces at $12 each and is available after 6pm. Drivers with an ADA placard park in the guest lot attached to the building for free.

Several bars and a cafe in the building serve food, and Show Bar does pizza, burgers and fries. Anything you buy at the building's own bars and cafe can be taken into the venue for most shows.
Bags are the thing to plan around: only very small handbags, smaller than 10 by 10 by 6 inches, are allowed, and each one is searched. Flash photography and professional photography are prohibited. Valid ID is required for all 21+ shows, and the Roof Deck bar, open April through October when the weather allows, is strictly 21+ after 6pm, with minors welcome alongside a parent or guardian at other hours.

A little history
The school opened in 1906 as Eastside High and became Washington High School in 1909; the building you walk into today was rebuilt in 1924 after a fire. Enrollment fell and the school closed in 1981. After the 113,000 square foot building was bought in 2013 it was renovated top to bottom, and Revolution Hall opened in the original auditorium in 2015. James Beard and Linus Pauling were both pupils here.
The hall keeps the auditorium's balcony, and a removable seating system means one night can be rows of seats and the next an open floor, depending on the show.
