Station Inn
The Station Inn is a single-floor bluegrass listening room at 402 12th Avenue South in Nashville's Gulch, with live music seven nights a week and every seat close to the stage. Doors open at 7pm unless the event page says otherwise, and parking is the thing to plan: the small free gravel lot behind the club fills fast, and the nearest pay lots are a one to six minute walk. The Station Inn is at 402 12th Avenue South in the Gulch, in the heart of Nashville. Bluegrass, classic country, Americana and roots music play seven nights a week, and the venue's own parking guide gives walking directions from each nearby lot.
Parking in the Gulch can be difficult. The gravel lot behind the club is free for Station Inn fans as space allows, but it is limited and fills up quickly before the show; do not block the exit or the Hotel 404 entrance. The Javanco Lot at 1209 Pine St is a one minute walk, the Pine St Lot and Contractors Lot about three minutes, the Velocity Garage at 302 11th Ave S four minutes, and the Icon and Terrazzo garages on 12th Ave S five to six minutes.

A little history
The Station Inn opened in 1974 near Centennial Park and Vanderbilt University, founded by six bluegrass pickers and singers who were also the house band, and moved to its present home at 402 12th Avenue South in 1978. J.T. Gray bought the club in March 1981 and began booking well-known and local bands every night.
Bill Monroe played to a packed house here in 1985, Alison Krauss played several times in the late 1980s, and in 2003 the International Bluegrass Music Association gave the club its Distinguished Achievement Award.
