Bio
The 2 Brown Sisters are Chicago vocalists Maggie and Africa Brown, daughters of the late jazz composer and social activist Oscar Brown, Jr. As a duo they merge a foundation in jazz with hip hop, reggae and soul, and their shows carry a world-music sensibility spanning bebop, spoken word and folktales set to funk and Afro-Cuban rhythms. Maggie Brown is an American singer, spoken-word artist and producer known for her one-woman show 'LEGACY: Our Wealth of Music.'
