Bio
Corey Wilkes is a Chicago-area jazz trumpeter, composer and producer who joined the Art Ensemble of Chicago in 2003 at the invitation of Roscoe Mitchell and is a member of the AACM. He has worked as a sideman with James Carter, Kahil El'Zabar's Ethnic Heritage Ensemble and Nicole Mitchell, and won an Emmy for his score to the documentary Ida B. Wells. He leads his own group Abstrakt Pulse
