Babymetal is a Japanese band formed in Tokyo in 2010 that fuses heavy metal with J-pop idol music, a style often described as kawaii metal. Led by vocalist Suzuka Nakamoto ('Su-metal'), the group emerged from the idol group Sakura Gakuin and gained international recognition for albums such as Metal Galaxy.
