Billy Dean is an American country singer and songwriter born in 1962 in Quincy, Florida, who gained national exposure after appearing on the talent show Star Search. Recording since 1990, he scored multiple Top Ten country hits, and his song 'Somewhere in My Broken Heart' won Song of the Year at the 1992 Academy of Country Music Awards.
