Bio

David Robertson is an American conductor, born 19 July 1958 in Santa Monica, California, and educated at London's Royal Academy of Music. He was Music Director of the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra (2005-2018) and Chief Conductor of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and is Director of Orchestral Studies at The Juilliard School, celebrated as a champion of contemporary composers. With the Saint Louis Symphony he won a 2014 Grammy Award for Best Orchestral Performance for John Adams's City Noir
