Bio

DJ Slugo (Thomas Kendricks) is a Chicago DJ and producer who grew up in the Robert Taylor Homes and has pioneered and championed ghetto house for more than three decades. In the 1990s he became part of the Dance Mania label network and founded his own label, Subterranean Playhouse, in 1995, later releasing DVDs documenting the local juke and ghetto-house scenes. His raw, body-first ghetto house sound rippled into juke, footwork and beyond
