Bio

Dom Flemons is an American folk musician, multi-instrumentalist, and music historian from Phoenix, Arizona, who performs as "The American Songster" with a repertoire spanning American roots styles including folk, blues, country, and bluegrass. In 2005 he co-founded the Carolina Chocolate Drops with Rhiannon Giddens and Justin Robinson, and he left the group in 2013 to focus on a solo career. His work includes the 2018 Smithsonian Folkways album "Black Cowboys."
