Gillian Welch and David Rawlings are an American Americana and folk duo based in Nashville, Tennessee, who met as students at Boston's Berklee College of Music. Welch's 1996 debut Revival, produced by T Bone Burnett, drew on traditional country and folk forms, and the pair are widely regarded as leading interpreters of American roots music.
