Bio
George Clinton is the American musician and principal architect of P-Funk, the sprawling collective that recorded as both Parliament and Funkadelic. Rooted in a doo-wop group Clinton formed in a Plainfield, New Jersey barbershop in the 1950s, Funkadelic emerged in 1968 and, alongside Parliament, revolutionized R&B in the 1970s with over 40 R&B hits and landmark albums such as Mothership Connection. The collective was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997
