Jake Owen is an American country singer born Joshua Ryan Owen in Vero Beach, Florida, in 1981. He signed with RCA Nashville and released his debut album, Startin' with Me, in 2006, going on to score multiple number-one country hits including "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" and "Beachin'." He originally pursued golf before a wakeboarding injury led him to music.
