Marshall Crenshaw is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist born in 1953 near Detroit, Michigan, widely associated with power pop. His self-titled 1982 debut album and its single "Someday, Someway" brought him acclaim, and he later co-wrote the Gin Blossoms' 1996 hit "Til I Hear It from You."
