Rodrigo y Gabriela are a Mexican acoustic guitar duo made up of Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero, who first played together in a Mexico City heavy metal band before relocating to Dublin, Ireland, in 1999. Their instrumental style blends flamenco-influenced acoustic guitar with rock and metal, and their 2019 album Mettavolution won a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album.
